²² They were astounded at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.

²³ In that synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he shrieked, ²⁴ “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.”^[a]
